ctrl x Ellen Recordings pres. Sabrina [UK], Kundarini, Ellen

A meeting of deep bass, breakbeat history and forward motion, Thursday, October 15, brings an all-female lineup to the Berlin Room in a joint venture with Ellen Recordings. Three selectors with different routes into the music share the same love of digging, movement and spaces in between genres. Expect weight, warmth, and the right kind of pressure.   BERLIN ROOMSABRINA [UK] Sabrina has risen fast, earning respect from Goldie, Randall, and DJ Mag alike. She built her name around old-school drum & bass and jungle, with sets that move freely through techno, acid, hardcore and other strains of electronic music. From Printworks, fabric and Motion Bristol to international rooms, her approach is rooted in the past but never stuck there. A former RINSE FM resident, now on SWU FM, she brings serious range and carries the old school spirit into new territories. KUNDARINI Kundarini comes from the bass-heavy end of the spectrum, with jungle and drum & bass at the core, stretching into dubstep, breaks and UK bass. Originally from Transylvania and shaped by both Romanian and UK scenes, she is a Black Rhino Radio resident and part of Astronaut Kru Soundsystem. Her sets balance soulful selections, rolling drums and heavier pressure with the kind of digging that keeps things diverse.   ELLEN For Ellen, the connection runs deep. After discovering drum & bass in Bucharest in 2012, she went on to build drumandbass.ro, launch Odyssey Sessions and, in 2022, found Ellen Recordings as a home for forward-thinking electronic music. Her own sets draw from jungle, drum & bass, breaks and the wider bass spectrum, bringing the same curiosity that runs through her label.   Tickets:30 lei • door deal
