ctrl x Black Rhino Residency #30: King Alpha, Ital Power

For the 30th Black Rhino Residency at Control, it only made sense to celebrate what sound system culture is all about. A night of the finest dub music, in great company, on a roaring set of speakers. Operator of the London-based sound system with the same name, King Alpha is Ras Joseph’s lifelong project. Expect dubplates upon dubplates, bass pressure, and an intoxicating energy. Long-time friend and collaborator Ital Power joins him on the night of November 7th, hailing from West London. Having operated a sound system and recording studio since 2008, followed by his own label in 2011, Ital Power’s experience makes him the right fit for this momentous occasion. → King Alpha (3 hours set) → Ital Power (3 hours set) → Amplified by Riddim Bandits Sound System
