Control Club

About

After his acclaimed WARFIELD show in 2025, Justin Warfield returns to Control on January 29, 2027, this time alongside Adam Bravin for a long-awaited She Wants Revenge show. The duo behind “Tear You Apart” perform as a five-piece, with Thomas Froggatt on bass, Tony Bevilacqua (The Distillers) on guitar and Lia Braswell (Sextile, A Place To Bury Strangers, TR/ST) on drums. Before the record deal, they were two friends making tracks to play in their own DJ sets. A three-song demo led to Geffen, and those early recordings became the basis of their self-titled debut in 2006. “Tear You Apart” became a dancefloor fixture alongside “These Things” and “Out of Control”, while tours with Depeche Mode and Placebo took their music to wider audiences. Though they came to prominence in the mid-aughts post-punk revival, Justin and Adam were more indebted to their early influences: Prince, Tangerine Dream, ELO, Giorgio Moroder, and 90s hip-hop. Their true-to-the-era production style, thoughtful songwriting, and heart-on-the-sleeve lyricism which ran counter to the studied dance punk and emotionally distanced. “Tear You Apart” has kept finding new audiences long after its first release, earning platinum status along the way. Lady Gaga requested it for the opening episode of American Horror Story: Hotel in 2015, while Billie Eilish singled it out in a 2021 Vanity Fair interview as one of the songs she listens to when she wants to feel free. After another break in 2020, they regrouped in 2022, returning to stages across North America, Europe and Australia while resuming work on a fourth album between dates. At their 2026 Wiltern show, two new songs joined the set, while Warfield’s commanding, unhurried presence drew comparisons to Dave Gahan and Jim Morrison. OC Music News captured it neatly: “fans are drawn to him, almost magnetically, in a way that goes beyond the songs themselves. He doesn’t chase the audience. They come to him.” “moody, danceable music that sounds like a bad decision made at 1:30 a.m.” “maximum sexual tension, cursed romance and emotional dysfunction” - Racket Magazine, 2026 “Their brand of darkwave is closer to dark disco with upbeat melodies driving under melancholy lyrics.” - New Noise Magazine, November 2023. __ Tickets: 120 lei + booking fees - Presale150 lei + booking fees - General Sale (from October 23)__ * Children up to 12 years old do not have access to the event.** Children up to 16 years old need a valid ticket and must be accompanied by a parent with a valid ticket.*** Minors aged 16 to 18 years old have access with a valid ticket.**** Serving and alcohol consumption are strictly forbidden for all minors.
