ctrl BRUTUS LIVE: ROTKO

Rotko combine distorted guitars with modular synths and drum machines to produce a sound that sits somewhere between alternative rock and electronic experimentation, with a very distinct melancholic, sci-fi atmosphere. From Cluj-Napoca comes a five piece who blend layered electronic textures with a very raw guitar sound and quite introspective lyrics. The music moves between the atmospheric and the heavier, in all sorts of moods but it's very much their own sound with a very distinct futuristic edge. A new act on the local alternative scene, Rotko are forging their own sound through a combination of electronic, experimental stuff and some very personal songwriting. Opening the night are Orange Peel Her, a noisy three-piece from Bucharest who blend different influences and genres into their own experimental sound. Active since 2024, the band have already released their debut EP, "(A)LIGHT", and continue to explore new sounds with a playful, anything-goes approach. 30 lei • door deal The Cult Control Association produce and promote the series via a grant from Banca Transilvania.
