On October 11, Francis On My Mind takes the stage at Control Club for the release show of her debut EP, “Ars Valendi” (The Art of Saying Goodbye). Featuring six tracks, “Ars Valendi” is a sophisticated and memorable body of work, with the cohesion and scope of a full-length album. The EP follows the different stages of a love story: the excitement of a beginning that has yet to be defined, followed by the moment when you regain the strength and clarity to know when it is time to leave. The three singles released so far offer a glimpse into the EP’s universe. “Kinda Love It” captures the thrill of a discreet romance before the relationship becomes official: honest, playful and subtly irresistible. “Think About Me” turns heartbreak into a statement of confidence and self-worth, while “I Knew” chooses freedom over the comfort of staying and explores a difficult truth: sometimes, love means knowing when to let someone go. The tracklist is completed by “9 to 5,” “Lovers/Friends” and “Manic.” At Control Club, Francis On My Mind will bring the entire world of “Ars Valendi” to the stage for the first time, in a show created especially for this release. The concert will also feature the songs that have shaped her journey so far, including “Somebody Else But Me,” “Swimming Pools,” “I’m Alright,” “Circle of Love” and other tracks already familiar to her audience. One of the distinctive voices of Romania’s new indie-pop generation, Francis On My Mind creates music at the intersection of indie sensitivity and pop energy.
